Bridge faq
General
Q: How do I enroll my student in the Bridge program?
A: Registration opens in the fall each year. At that time, students may fill out the interest form and will then be contacted about interviews.
Q: What can my student do to be successful in Bridge?
A: Work hard! Complete all homework assignments, reach out to mentors when they have questions, engage in practices, and compete actively.
Q: Who should I contact about questions in the program?
A: For any event-specific questions, please reach out to your Bridge mentors via Messenger, Remind or email. For questions relating to tournaments, scheduling, and other organizational questions, email the Bridge Co-Leads, Naina and Prisha.
Q: Who are my student’s instructors?
A: You can find a complete list of Bridge mentors for each event here.
Tournament Logistics
Q: How do I pay for tournaments?
A: Costs for the Stanford Invitational and Wildcat Classic are included in the tuition fee. Other tournaments may have additional costs which can be paid on the DVHS webstore. If your student misses a tournament included in the program fee, we will do our best to offer a makeup tournament but it may not be possible.
Q: How do we access online tournaments?
A: Here are instructions on how to access various online debate platforms. Most tournaments either use a platform called NSDA Campus or Classroom Cloud. While it is best that your student has the Zoom app downloaded, they can also use the web version if needed
